Buyers go with the flow. Australia's fastest selling beachfront apartments

Published: 1st June 2021

MORE than $74 million in sales have been completed at Flow Residences on the Gold Coast. Becoming Australia’s fastest selling beachfront apartments after selling out in just over three months.

The beachfront project will be completed in 2022 and will be made up of 22 apartments, ranging from two to four-bedrooms.

With the apartments selling at an average of $3.5 million, the properties are to be developed at the Gold Coast’s Rainbow Bay, having garnered buyers from local and interstate owner occupier markets. 65% of buyers were from Queensland, with seven apartments being sold to buyers from NSW and one from California.

The Flow apartments are being developed by the Brisbane-based developer Paul Gedoun and S&S Projects, who will begin demolition on the existing three-level building in November, with construction to begin early next year.

The last residence sold last week for an unconditional $3.15 million, a half floor, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom Oceanic Residence.

“We launched the apartments at the end of June, only weeks after the Gold Coast came out of the COVID lockdown and while the borders with NSW and Victoria remained closed,” said Jayde Pezet, of KM Sales and Marketing, who managed the sales.

“Buyers have shown an unshakable desire to transform the way they live and where they want to live, and Flow offers the perfect place for buyers seeking an enviable beachfront lifestyle.” Pezet said.

The developers propose that buyers are here looking to buy into a “laid-back coastal, surf-inspired lifestyle”, as the properties overlook the renowned surf break, Snapper Rockers.

At the same time the residences offer unique amenities such as surfboard storage and repair facilities, outdoor hot water showers and bike storage facilities, as well as E-Bikes owned by the building.

On top of this there will be a full-level residents beach club on the ground floor, equipped with a recreation deck, private dining and function spaces, a gym and outdoor heated pool.

“The sell-out shows the pent up interest in the Gold Coast from well-heeled downsizers who are both from the Gold Coast, Brisbane and interstate,” said Pezet.
